Covert advertising is a subset of product placements where a product of a brand or the brand itself is marketed in an entertainment show, a movie, or a TV series. The history of advertising and advertisements is as old and rich as human civilization. Advertising and advertisements have changed and evolved over the years from their beginnings where physical ads ruled to today’s era when virtual ads rule.

Pre-19th Century
